Can't make dvd's from my recordings
My hard drive is full and I've been trying to put my shows together to make one disk for the same show. I keep buying disks to put them on a disk and either it tells me the format is wrong or it tries to erase a brand new disk.I read somewhere that the disks that are made today are too fast for this recorder I'm trying to use. And if I do start to make a disk when I try to finalize the disk. It spits it out and ruined the disk because now it tells you invalid disk. I always loved my Lite On but now I'm so frustrated. Now I have to unplug it all the time because it gets stuck and won't do anything. Is there anyway to buy disks. That are compatable with my recorder. Maybe older versions of disks.

The recorder supports these formats
DVD-RW · DVD-R · DVD+R · DVD+RW
There shouldn't be a problem with the speed, maybe a compatibility issue with brands.
Also it might be your lens is dirty have you tryed a cd/dvd lens cleaner disk? dry/wet?
