This is from the official websites support forum. Many people have had issues letting the game patch it self. Follow these instructions and you can patch it outside of the game.


Firestorm has no patches available. Tiberian Sun. however, does have one. There are three ways to patch the game.

• You can run the auto-patch program.
  1. Click on the Start button.
  2. Select All Programs.
  3. Select the Westwood folder.
  4. Click on the game you want to update.
  5. Select Auto-Update.
  6. The game should now automatically patch.
     
• If you play online, through Westwood's servers, you will receive the latest update of the game (if one is available) automatically, each time you log on.
  
• If you still cannot get the patches you can retrieve them from our FTP site.
  1. Click here to access the ftp site.
  2. Click on the patch needed:
     • TS203 for Tiberian Sun
     • There is a two letter code at the end of the patch this is representative of the language of the patch.
       • ES : Spanish
       • DE : German
       • EN : English
       • FR : French
  3. Select Save in the window that pops up.
  4. In the Save As window make sure Desktop is selected in the Save in: section at the top of the window.
  5. Click Save and the patch should save to your desktop.
  6. Once it is saved to the desktop, double-click on the patch's icon to install it.
