Can't remove battery pack from radio

Push release button up, try to slide to left as instructions say, won't budge..Help!!

LOL funny thing i had the same trouble. When you press the spring button you dont down or away it slide on a tack of sort. Slide to you or away either way you will see it slides off not pull off. Hope this helps
