Cant see a thing!!!!
I am 12 yrs old and a future astronaut This is my first "Real" teliscope. PLZ HELP!!!!. I have recently built my new teliscope (Meade DS-2114) And this morning 2:52am I had for the first time alligned it. Averything seemes to work just fine. Then when I observe the north star. I see nothing but blackness.. :( . I checked everything. Removed lense cap, I re-allind the WHOLE thing according to date time daylight savings and the direction 'NORTH'. But I cant see anything! Then I relized that there was no light inside the teliscope? .____ Do I need a light? Or does it use reflecting light?___

Use the laser pointer that you put on the telescope when you were putting it together. or take the whole front cover off and look at the reflector and see if you see anything if you do try it again and see if this info helps please respond thanks and your welcome
