Can't separate case to replace broken switch
I have the parts breakdown but it doesn't show if there are any internal clips holding the casing halves together. all the screws are removed but it seems to be locked onto the yoke unit. I don't want to force it incase I break the casing.

Sorry but the 6980fd doesnt have the four front screws. THat is another model and it is very easy to disasemble. I am having the same problem not being able to sepperate the two halves.
Have you removed the front housing? It has 4 screws that go into the handle halves and must be removed. As far as internal clips there are none. If you removed the front sometimes the handles stick together and you have to hold each piece and gently pull apart. Hope this helps
