Car amp only powers when headlights are on
I recently installed my vibe amp and jl audio subs in my car. the problem i am having is that the amp powers up fine when the headlights/sidelights are on but as soon as i switch the headlights/sidelights off the amp switches off. please help as i dont want to have my lights on just to listen to music.

The remote wire is probably hooked up to the illumination wire or the dimmer wire. One or both of those can be found behind the factory stereo. No big deal. Unhook that and find a 12v positive accessory wire. It will turn on and off with the key and the key only.
