Car Axle popped out
Hi,My kids decided to ride our little tikes coupe down the stairs!
Of course the back axle popped out. I tried to hammer it back in but I stopped when I felt that I was applying to much force.
Is there a way to remove the classic end of axle piece, insert the axle and then return the cap securely?

Yes, you need a new axle nut that goes on the end of the axle. You can find them at your home improvement store for about .50. Remove the old one and hammer the new one on when you get the axle on. Good luck!
You have to get some plyers and squeeze the axle cap from side to side until it comes off.
