there could be several reasons for pour gas milage. when it comes to tires or rims the size will only effect they way your speedometer recognizes the speed you have to adjust the trans sensor to allow for wheel size. as far as tires, underinflation creates greater drag and there fore uses more gas....Obama is right Mc Cain is senile lol. a partially blocked or a weak fuel pump also will lead to poor gas milage. improper gapped spark plugs worn or cross firing plug wires. a weak coil or msd module for vehicles that don't have distributers. worn contacts on rotor or cap, Bad O2, egr, tps iac or fuel pressure regulater, dirty air filter, and finally the mother of all screwups.....a bad ecm. these are just the ones off the top of my head that can lead to crappy gas milage...... so tell the mechanics they are either ignorant or they should try a different profession.there could be several reasons for pour gas milage. when it comes to tires or rims the size will only effect they way your speedometer recognizes the speed you have to adjust the trans sensor to allow for wheel size. as far as tires, underinflation creates greater drag and there fore uses more gas....Obama is right Mc Cain is senile lol. a partially blocked or a weak fuel pump also will lead to poor gas milage. improper gapped spark plugs worn or cross firing plug wires. a weak coil or msd module for vehicles that don't have distributers. worn contacts on rotor or cap, Bad O2, egr, tps iac or fuel pressure regulater, dirty air filter, and finally the mother of all screwups.....a bad ecm. these are just the ones off the top of my head that can lead to crappy gas milage...... so tell the mechanics they are either ignorant or they should try a different profession.
the transmission controle moduel is located on top of the bell housing in most models but now they have integrated inside the transmission and use a style="display:none;">the transmission controle moduel is located on top of the bell housing in most models but now they have integrated inside the transmission and use a data link to the ecm. the only way to adjust it is through the ecm itself
