Car just overheated, water pump bad?
Driving to work last night, i was climbing the mountain and the tone/alarm for my car's thermostat was all the way up, I pulled over immediately and shutdown the engine. First thing I did was check the coolant, which was full... and steamy. Engine oil is fine as well. Water pump had to break right? Got it towed home, haven't touched it since, i just got home from work so i'm going to look at it now. The engine didn't get really hot either, i literally pulled over within 5 seconds. Did

More than likely that's the problem. It happens to me two months ago. I checked the antifreeze and the hoses to be sure that wasn't it to be sure first then brought it in for a new water pump.
Check the oil again and see if its milky if it is more than likely is going into your motor
