Car problems car starts normal but when over reved to 2 to 3000 revs the car stays at a reved up speed pressing the accelarator makes no diffrence and a yellow engine management light comes on and stays on till u stop and restart the car the faults intermittent its a renault laguna 2003

I have same problem with 2002 laguna. Before warning lights and revving at 2000rpm starts car feels jumpy. Have to stop, take card out of slot and back again to start without fault. Happens a few miles drive later again. Anyone got a solution?
I would try replacing the throttle position sensor
