Car shakes when idling. Pick up good. Just had an expensive tune
This is a 99 Toyota Camry. Problem started when it was necessary to put on brakes hard. Immediately started shaking, and continues when idling. Pick up from a light stop is very good, but when driving at highway speed often is very uneven. Had a tune up only two weeks ago, and was doing fine until the hard brake stop.

Hi! so it shakes when driving at high speed? One reason that it shakes is that the tires are unbalanced. Have a tire balancing and see how it goes. If it still shakes then the brake calipers may have been forced too much during the hard brake. You will need to have a brake caliper kit replacement to secure tight the rotor disc. This will get rid of the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Its safe for a normal driving but on high speed I suggest that you take extra precaution.
