Car won't start
I have a 91 chevy Camaro rs. that will not start. Some times there will be a click or two when I turn the key but that is it. I took the battery cables loose and cleaned every thing and still nothing but a click Could it be the starter relay? If so where is it? Another thought was the starter solinoid.
Please help.

The selonid is on the starter.
Take the starter of and have autzone test it for you
Hi this does sound like the starter normally if you hear a click that means the relay is ok as it is sending power to the starter motor, so its more than likely to be the starter solenoid, you can try this test...get a long bar or a small hammer, locate the starter, while someone is in the vehicle turning the key ( as to start it ) tap the starter with the bar or hammer, it should start, if not then the starter is u/s and will need replacing, if it starts, turn engine off, and try turning over without hitting the starter, if it starts it will more than likely be the solenoid sticking, give it a few trie's it might free itself and work, but if it starts to play up again change the starter..hope this helps..NOTE!!! when doing this, make sure you are well away from any moving parts all clothing should be clear to , if it does start you do not want to be caught up in anything...
