Carriage return not fully functional
When I power on carriage returns all the way to the left. But after typing one line and hitting return it only returns maybe 3 or 4 spaces. Can't backspace any further either. Tried margin release. Tried clearing formats. Is there a way to return unit to factory defaults? Any other ideas?

Try a light oil on the steel rod the carrier travels on, check for forien objects in the machine, otherwise take to a repair shop
