First of all ensure you are using the correct power adaptor and that it is providing the correct voltage and polarity. If that is all OK try powering up whilst apply light upwards pressure to the connector ( then try with light downward pressure ) If it lights up momentarily or constantly whilst turning on the problem is probably a loose connection which will require soldering. If nothing then either the connection has been badly damaged or the solder tracks on the pcb have failed. If you have used the wrong voltage / polarity adaptor you may have damaged circuitry which will probably require specialist repair. I hope this helps.
