Casiotone 403 I recently bought a second hand Casiotone 403. It uses a standard kettle lead. It worked fine for a couple of minutes until there was a small fizzing noise from inside, then a pop and then smoke started coming out of it. But it still works! So is the smoke bad news?? Or is the fact that it still works means it's ok after all?
It might still work for now. but the magic smoke is never a good sign when it comes to electronics.
i would open it and see what caused the smoke. any cracked/burnt components.,burnt leads on the circuit board or bulging or blown capacitors. if you then take a photo of the failed part(s) and upload together with a new question about it you will get a better and more accurate answer if its "safe" to use. and maybe even a fix for it
