Catalytic Converter Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the catalytic converter on a 2001 TL? I see the part online for around $160. Dealer wanted $1200

Well, those are on your exhaust system. You have to cut the old one out and then weld the new one in. I'ld take it to a exhaust shop instead of the dealer. They would be alot cheaper.
My sugestion is to go to a person in the exhaust shop it will needed to be welded in place and they are alot cheaper that the dealer.
