CD Burner not working
When I first bought the computer the CD drive worker fine, I could back up my computer to CDs and everything. But then I was trying to install some hp printer software on my computer, because i could not print online web pages... it still did not help, do uninstalled the software with the Installation CD in the drive. The computer froze and when i tried to shut it down i took like a few hours. After it finally finished shutting down i started up the computer and everything was working fine. Then i tried to play a game that uses a CD and it did not work. I searched around online and used the registry edit to fix that problem and now my CD drive runs fine. But I still cannot burn CDs anymore. For backing up my computer or for burning MP3s onto an Audio CD. Can anyone help figure out the problem?

Try rolling back the driver for the drive. maybe the driver was altered during you instal / uninstall of hp software.
are you running a 64bit operating system?
the only time my bro has heard of this happening is because of vista 64 or xp 64.
he said even if tunes put into playlists it would still not burn but on basic xp or vista the very same program would work.
try winamp. thats a good player. sync's with everything.
