CE-00 means the copier cannot find the computer or server it's directed to scan to.
The usual cause is that the IP address for the scan destination has been changed by DHCP and the connection info has not been updated in the copier.
To resolve, reboot the destination workstation or server. Or, right-click on the Network Scanner Tool icon in the tray, select Automatic Profile Update, and click on Update Now.
If the scan profiles were created in the webpage and not through Sharpdesk/NST, make sure that destination names and/or IPs have not changed in the profile.
If you are using DNS name resolution instead of direct IP addressing, you must be sure that the DNS server IPs are correctly entered into the web page.
I get a ce-00 error. was working until recently (before weekend). I need to know how to setup scan to email function in sharp mx-m700n multifunction machine. I have some questions about this. Our old website and hosting we did not renew but this went down a couble weeks ago, does this have anything to do with that? I need to set up this to scan to email.
Optional Information: Make: Sharp Model: MX-M700N
Already Tried: Unplug, redo static ip, called cable co to verify it was correct. Tried to use static ip. I can access the device through the web using its static ip but cannot get the scan to email to work.
Put your current SMTP and DNS information in your web page. If you also scan to local workstations, make sure you have at least one local and one ISP DNS IP address in the fields.Put your current SMTP and DNS information in your web page. You sure about that? Most of the finisher error codes I've seen are in the F1-xx class. CE-xx applies totally to network troubleshooting IMHO.You sure about that? Most of the finisher error codes I've seen are in the F1-xx class. CE-xx applies totally to network troubleshooting IMHO.

CE codes relate to the sorter / Finisher.
Check the sorter for open covers or anything out of place.
Check the sorter connection to the copier.
Hope this isof some help.
