CFM electric fireplace (Charmglow) won't turn back on
I used my CFM electric fireplace (Charmglow 22-inch) for about a month (flame setting only) but when I turned it on this morning, it flashed on for about a second & then shut off~~now it won't turn on at all. The day before, I used the heater on the 3rd lowest setting for about 10 minutes top just to see how it worked.
Why would it turn on for a second (flame setting only), then shut off & not turn on again? Did the circuit burn up? Can my local electrician take a look at it & fix it?
CFM is now bankrupt and there isn't a troubleshooting customer service line anymore.
Should I call in an electrician to take a look at it?

Certainly ask a local electrician to take a look. Some electricians have a call-out charge and some don't so it is worth looking in your local directory and making a few calls. It would seriously take the good fortune from the fault being just a simple one if a hefty call-out charge was added.

Your post indicates the fire isn't very old. You presumably didn't buy it direct from the now-bankrupt company, but like most people you probably bought it from a retailer? The fact there is a guarantee the company can no longer honour is rather meaningless when your contract wasn't with the manufacturer but with the retailer.
When a person buys something a contract is made. In return for some money the retailer agrees to supply you with a fire that must be of merchantable quality. If it has worked for only a month it clearly wasn't of merchantable quality and the retailer should take responsibility for fixing it or replacing it.
