Ch. 10 does not work - Mackie 1604-VLZ PRO
Would like service manual and/or instructions how to open and possibly repair ch 4 is nearly completely dead. Several of the other channels have low output. Maybe 3-4 of the channels are good and loud. I have heard that these mixers have ribbon cable problems. Is this symptomatic of a ribbon cable issue? is there a way I can test the cables or should I just shotgun it and replace them? thanks in advance!

Yes, the ribbon cable is the 1st thing I would check. You can check the ribbon like this: Disconnect said cable from the channels. Connect cable connector from a known good channel to the problem channel. If channel sounds the same trace a signal through the channel op-amps.
