OK, I've read the other posts on programming the Chamberlain garage door opener remote, but these methods simply are NOT working on my unit. My original remote (971GM) stopped working, so I changed the battery. It didn't work. I tried the reprogramming process according to my manual. It didn't work. I took apart the logic board to inspect it for fried circuits. It didn't work. I bought a new $35 Chamberlain remote with the light indicator and tried programming the unit with it. Guess what? It didn't work. I threw the old one against the wall in frustration and now it really doesn't work! I'm kidding, but I felt like it! I have read elsewhere that the indicator light on the back of the opener should flash at some point when programming? Mine does not. The remote blinks briefly when I'm programming, but the indicator light on the opener does not. The light bulb on the front of the unit does not blink either. I'm at a total loss. Is there something wrong with the logic board? Thanks in advance.
