Chamberlain sent me a replacement board. I installed it. Now when i open the garage, instead of the carriage pulling the door back to the motor unit, it move forward about 4 inches, stops (because the garage is already closed) and goes back to the same place it started. Even when I take off the door, the carriage moves forward, never back (toward the motor) when activated. Why won't the carriage go back when opened?

Do you have the users manual of the system with you?Read it and follow the calibration instructions,it may take some trial and error to go through it,buts thats how we do it when we install a new or used garage access system.But of course you have to have some one to work with you cause you might be adjusting some pins or rollers,just an advice.
