First off, if you are going by the idiot light, it COULD be a bad sending unit. Either replace with a new one and check again, or hook up an oil pressure gauge (At 2000 RPM you should have 30-38lbs) to get a more accurate reading: http://www.harborfreight.com/160-psi-dry-gauge-68249.html IF is is still ACTUALLY low, pull the relief valve spring and make sure its clean and nothing it blocking it from seating correctly. A cracked cam plate could also cause a loss of oil pressure. Finally, make sure that the oil line fron the oil tank to the pump (feed line) isn't plugged.
