When you change the battery, all the BIOS settings would be reset to factory defaults. You can change them from the BIOS. As soon as you power up the computer you will see a message somewhere that says "Press xx to enter set up" or something of the like. Press it to enter BIOS and tell me what options you see on the screen so that I can guide you through the date change procedure.
