Changed the battery on 2001 AudiA4, 1.8t, won't start now
Car wasn't operated with remote but rather with key. Drove perfectly until I replaced the battery. Now won't start anymore. Can anyone help me please, as I know there are no mechanical faults on the car?

So you changed the battery in the key? and this is the problem i suspect that you have lost the chip out of the key when you took the key apart to change the battery ,dont worry its happens to the best of us the phone rings or you get distracted -if you have lost the chip then try the spare key if you do not have one call the dealer and have a spare key and a new chip in your key programmed up-
