Changed the battery with an aftermarket one and unit wont work
Just changed the battery with an aftermarket one and the touch pad is locked up and wont respond to commands. Unit boots up but wont take any commands past pushing enter at liability screen,.This was the battery from NewPower 99.com made for the Nuvi 650. I've tried the reset function but it has no effect.

Either the touchscreen has failed or you have accidentally disconnected the touchscreen flex cable. Many people break the flex connectors trying to change a battery. The LCD does not need to be disconnected in order to change a battery.
