Charge Problems with my MC7801u Laptop
I'm having problems with my laptop. I have a gateway MC7801u and before it would not hold a charge and when it was plugged in, it said "plugged in, not charging" so i took it off the adapter and let the battery run all the way down. I have tried to charge it, but the battery light on my laptop won't even go on, and the power button keeps blinking...What's wrong and what can i do to fix it?

Try draining power first from system, take battery and adapter out then push and hold power button for 1 min. after try powering your computer with adapter only, then try with battery, if same thing, means you have bad battery.
This is for anyone that is searching for a solution for this problem as this person probably has already fixed: I had the same computer; same problem.
1. Try another outlet that you know works.
2. Try to start your computer without the battery installed. If it doesn't start and your outlet is good, it is most likely the power adapter because the computer will run without the battery in.
