There is a recall on this - I just took mine to the dealer and they took the gas tank off and had to replace a wire . Might want to check with your dealer..2009 legacy 250 owner..
If you have purchased two batteries, then the problem must be in your charging system. You need to check the voltage at the battery, with the engine idling, should be about13V, and then rev the engine, voltage should go up to about 14V. You need to check this, to see if your rectifier is faulty. Sounds like you don't have any charge going to your battery, or not enough charge. The fix could be as simple as a new rectifier.
