Charging system difficulties
While riding one day my neutral light started flickering even though i was in 4th. Then all of a sudden i lost all power and pulled over. It blew a fuse that was connected to the charging system. When I traced the wires I ended up taking the cover off the charging system and found the stator just hanging in there no longer bolted to the case. This is obviously my problem but after bolting it back on, I stopped blowing the fuse bc it wasn't shorting anymore but now there is no charge coming from the system. The bike will run until the battery dies. What do I need to replace? To sum it up it seems the stator came loose and got knocked around the rotor and shorted my system.

The stator is probably damaged, where the wires come out of the casing check for voltage when the motor is running (dis-connect them from the main wiring harness first) if no voltage stator is trashed, if there is voltage then check your regulator and rectifier (these you can remove from the bike and take to a bike shop and have tested)
