Chat dirt bike problems
I have a 1997 Honda xr250r The carburetor was cleaned and it started up after a couple of kicks. After that it was stored for half a year. After sitting, I pulled it out, and washed it down, trying to get some of the dirt and dust off. After that I kicked it for about 45 minutes straight. It wouldn't crank. So I cleaned out the carb again, and then poured fresh gas into the tank. After that it still wouldn't crank up.It has good compression, and the spark plug is basically brand new,it was replaced after last carb cleaning. Could it be the CDI Box or ignition coil that's causing the it not to start, or another electrical aspect?

Could be coil or kill switch... check spark plug wire and contact by pulling off and checking if it will arc when held within 1/4" from a metal part close enough to reach... do this when dark so u can see the arc if and when it happens... if no arc then replace wire, then coil... Good luck
