Check engine light came on my 2005 Kia Optima. I figured it was spark plugs as I haven't changed them. At 105,000 miles right now. after i put in new spark plugs, the car is worst and engine shaking alot almost like it wants to turn off. did code check and gave me PO350. please help
the check engine light will remain on for several drive cycles. If the computer sees that the problem has been resolved it will eventually turn of the light. This could be several days or weeks. The other option is to clear the code with a code reader/scan tool. If the P0350 comes back than you will have to figure it out.
And yes there is no code for spark plugs but plugs other than the original NGK's can cause issues with this engine. Using the O.E. plugs is always the best option.the check engine light will remain on for several drive cycles.
