Hi,I would suggest not using standard drain cleaner as it could cause damage to the seals inside the unit. Saniflo suggest the followinghttp://www.sanifloproducts.co.uk/products/Saniflo-Products-Saniflo-Descaler.htmlHope this helps
Buy some Saniflo Descaler from www.saniflostore.com or use white vinegar whenever you clean your toilet. Unplug the unit, pour about a half gallon into the toilet and let it sit for several hours. Plug the unit back in and then flush several times.
