?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&lid=1&pid=1450&leg=0# I have completely uninstalled the downloaded files, uninstalled any previous AMD or Catalyst files and attempted to install from the driver file listed above, twice. Each time, during the install, I receive error messages reading "install package failure!" and "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." I have screenshots of both errors if needed. This being said, the files finish installing and Catalyst seems to be running fine. In the Device Manager under the "AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series Properties" tab the Driver Version is 12.104. Bottom line: Why am I getting these error? What is it costing me? Should I be worried? If so, what do I do to resolve this issue? Thanks for any help you can offer!
Hello there! There's not much need to worry if the device manager detects your card. Yet,the catalyst installers are not too properly implemented.I recommend you to install stuff manually. In order to do this, ill divide the solution into a few parts: Here we go!
1: Display drivers Go to device manager > Display adapter > Right click card > Update driver > Browse manually > Have disk > Locate to your AMD/ATI folder where the catalyst installer is > Packages > Drivers > Display driver > Choose the first .inf > There you go,select your card, install it.
2: Applicants Head to your AMD/ATI folder where you have the catalyst installer Packages > Apps > Install all of these apps,it would be useful.
This would allow you to manually install the package, resulting in a non-error through the catalyst. This error might be occuring because some of your apps/packages might be corrupted, the best solution is to install manually and find the culprit.Once done, google that app/package and download it.
