Clarification Request ok just to clarify....my pc is built like this 1 asus p5n-e sli 1 pentium 4 dual core 3.00 gig 1 pny 800 mzh xlr8 ddr2 (X 2) 1 xfx fatal1ty 1 gig 8600 gt vid card 400 watt power supply 1 250 gig barricuda sata hd my first problem is that my ram did show up as 800 mhz for 2 months on this board "when i set the bios up properly". now, no matter what i do it will only show up as 667 mhz . I have updated my bios..............second problem my first video card was a geforce 7300 le by MSI. it worked fine for a while but my system started to hang and freeze alot. after extensive testing , I came to the conclusion that my vid card was bad. I replaced the 7300 le with a 8600 gt 1 gig vid card. It worked beautifully for 2 weeks then died . My pc would boot up with NO video at all. not even bios. I put the 7300le back in and it worked great....HMMMMM. ok so now I decided to try everything I knew to make the 8600 gt work but it would not. I unbuilt my whole pc . took everything from the motherboard and even removed the barttery. I put all the jumpers on the opposite post's and put them back and now it works .......but for how long ? does this make any more sense ? now my 7300le wont work . lol i think I need another motherboard...lol

Hi jlg371, Did you know that Asus warrants their boards for three years? Why buy a new board when you can have yours' replaced by Asus! While inside your case, look at the parallel port. There is a white sticker there. Write down the information onto a piece of paper. Call Asus tech at: 1-812-282-2787 M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST. It’s best to call in the morning. Get a case number from Asus. The way this works is you'll strip the board including the CPU. Box it & ship it back to Asus. You pay to ship it to Asus. (Signature Requested)! Asus pays to ship back to you. Expect 2 weeks, 10 working days (Min) to pass before Asus ships your MB back to you.
