The heater is located in the handle. It can become clogged with soap or mineral deposits. It can be removed and cleaned by removing the screws holding the front and back of the handle together. Separate the handle parts to gain access to the heater. It can be removed by taking the clamps off the water inlet and outlet lines. Remove the electric wires from the heater. Remove the screws holding the top on the water heater (be careful not to lose little gaskets with each *****) clean inside of heater and reinstall all wires, hoses, screws exactly as they were before.
