Cleaning light will not quit blinking after cleaning
I run the coffee pot through a cleaning cycle, and now the red light, to indicate it needs cleaning, continues to blink and the coffee takes FOREVER to brew. (about 30-40 min)

The same thing happened to our Mr. Coffee this week! I followed the instructions about running vinegar through, then rinsing several times with water. However, the light would not stop blinking. We did by-pass the light by setting the timer for delayed brewing and it worked. However, that blinking light came on again. Then, my husband tired the vinegar wash again but instead of doing it one time, he ran the same vinegar through 6 times until the light went out! Then he proceeded with the water rinse. Our Mr. Coffee is working again!
Forget these "solutions"...tried em all. None worked. Just unplug the machine. When you plug it in you'll have to reset the clock but you'll be spared the brain damage.
I was having the same problem, and found Mr. Coffee's website virtually idiotic with their answer. It turned out that if I held the on button for 5 seconds or so the display switched to "CLn" and I was supposed to just leave it there. I made the mistake of switching it back to brew afterwards a couple of times as "CLn" didn't seem to be doing anything. You actually have to wait a few minutes before it does anything and then it starts a slow brew... Really sad that Mr. Coffee's website doesn't mention this at all.
I tried for days after cleaning still flashing red, I just unplugged it waited few minutes plugged it back in it quit flashing.
My red light was blinking so I just thought you had to run vinegar through it and it would fix the problem. Turns out, you have to push the button from green, to yellow, and when you get to red....hold it in for a few seconds until it stops blinking. Soon as I did that, the cleaning cycle started!
