Clock display light won't turn off even with the unit off
The clock display stays lit even when the unit is turned off. The CD player was installed in my car before I bought it. Is this a normal function. I have doubts because my battery drained after a few nights. This happened twice so I uninstalled the unit. Every other function works normally except for the clock diplay remaining lit.

Press and hold MODE and then press PRESET 1 to turn on or off the clock display priority. This should allow you to set if the clock stays on while the unit is off.
Aside from this, you may need to double check your wiring, specifically the RED and BLUE wires. The RED needs to be connected to a switched source of power and not directly to your battery/etc. It needs to be a source that is only ON when you want it to be ON (such as the ignition on wire). The YELLOW wire is the only one that should be connected directly to your battery.
Double check the BLUE wire is connected correctly to your AMP as the AMP running all the time would kill a car battery overnight where-as the stereo clock display alone should take many days to kill a properly functioning car battery.
