Coca cola true glass door merchandising cooler (refrigerator) turned warm over night. I replaces the relay and capacitor and have eliminated those as possible causes. I assume it must be the compressor as it was covered in dust .Cleaned it to no avail. I can hear the compressor click on an off every few seconds. Blows hot or room temp air. Any solution or is it cheaper to buy a new compressor rather than call a pro to look at it? It is not under warranty. The compressor is a GDM26
Dusty compressor won't hurt. Dirty condensing coil can burn out the compressor. Supco makes a 3 n 1 start kit with very easy instructions, be sure to remove cap and external overload, this may kick start the compressor. If this fails then your compressor is bad, clicking inside is the overload. If you have the proper tools, go for replacement. Vacuum pump, gauges, scale to weigh in the ounces of 134a listed on the model number label, new liquid filter is a must, access port for low side if not present etc, etc. good luck.
