This is becoming a real issue with sanyo and dish. I understand there is a software upgrade to the sanyo that will correct color issues.

Look for a "reset" in the display settings. This should reset you back to factory or "out of the box" settings.
If this doesn't help, contact your local service provider and have them check out the set. May cost a small fee for a service call, but if the tech is knowledgable, he or she may give you enough insight or knowlege on how to set up your TV for your viewing environment. Those controls have a purpose that most people are uneducated about.
Check out http://www.imagingscience.com/ and if you can find a calibrator in your area, see if they will explain to you the benefits of a calibration. You might also be able to get some info from the site. Also, look at the bottom of the above web page. You will see that ISF is selling a disk that will guide you through a user menu calibraton.
I am an ISF certified calibrator, and I offer to my customers, a free user menu calibration, and yes, I use the afore-mentioned disk. Once you see the difference and are educated about what a calibration does for your perception of your set and how and why it operates the way it does, you will better understand.
Also keep in mind that ultimately there may be something wrong with your set. I am also a repair technician and I have seen countless issues when it comes to repair. Having said that, minor or slight color issues should be resolvable.
