Color shadowing on screen
My tv is 15 years old hitachi 53 inch screen. never had any problem at all until this morning. the picture looks like it has a shadow of colors on the left side of the screen. the shadowing started out small this morning has gotten much larger as the day has gone by. this morning the primary color was red but now there are red and green shadowing. is this something that can be fixed, and would it be worth fixing

I had similar symptoms about a year ago. Also came on sudden. The red convergence chip had burned out (poor heat sinking on this model Hitachi). Replacing the color convergence chips fixed it. ($50 for parts.) First, however, have you tried the "magic focus" function? That's explained in the manual, which is available online IIRC, but I'd have to look for the link if you need it.
