Compressor starts for about 2 seconds, stops and then starts again for 1 second then stops again for a few seconds and then starts again for a second. Is it the pressure switch assembly? Thanks,

Yes it is the pressure switch ***.If you have been adjusting it,this maybe the problem,if not,replace it to repair the problem,and thank you,please rate.
