Compressor won't sstay running and trip breaker
I have a CH air compressor someone gave me.
Single Phase 120vac
The problem is that it won't stay running.
It will start, run for aproox 15 seconds and then trip the breaker.
I have disconnected and removed the piston to let the motor free wheel.
I have replaced both capacitors.
The circuit it is on is a 20 amp circuit.
I have unplugged everything else on the circuit, same problem.
The motor says it is 15 FLA.
Is the inrush current to high for a 20 amp breaker?
Are the windings shorted?
The motor spins fine by hand.

There is a intertia switch located on the back of the shaft.
I believe this is what changes from the start capacitor to the run capacitor.
Could this be bad?
Any hepl would be great
