Double check your power saver options. This is usually a power saver or Hibernate option if you are sure the Card is ok. You could have a Hot chip situation on the Video card. That is why it seems to start ok then shuts off. If you are sure the card is working correctly then check your power saver options and set the Video to never shut off. If the problem still persist then your problem is either a hot chip situation on the card or the monitor has a hot chip situation or short. Good Luck.
I'm not sure if your monitor has a board called inverter. Inverter board is for TV. This is usually the problem once the TV is automatically shutting off after couple of seconds. So, if the monitor has this board, then that could be the problem. But if not, then a defective relay is causing the problem
Contact the manufacturer of the monitor for second opinion. But the repair should not cost too much.
Have a great day!

Fiddle with Wires. Make sure the Connections are tight and Secure.I have seen some cases where the issue were Cables. It could be a Case of Bad / Faulty RAM. Pull out the RAM and again Re Seated them.
More often, it is Main Board. If this would have been a Bad LCD Controller, you could not even see a Boot Up Screen. It would be Completely Blank or some part of the Screen would be Blank.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!! Thanks for your response!!

If the video card is known working, try using another monitor. Because if could be the monitor.
Or try connecting the problem monitor to another computer.
