COMPUTER LOCKUP PLAYING GAMES
After a short time of playing anytype of game my computer locks up and it will not let me do anything apart from reset and rebooting. i have a GeFORCE 6100SM-M motherboard with an Athlon 64 dual core processor. 2gb of ddr2 ram and a NVIDIA 8500 pcie graphics card. i cannot play any game so any help will be appreciated

I have the same problem with any pci-e external card (tried 3 diferent cards) but it would speckle & freeze monitor, then go blank (black screen). I turned off on board video, set vram to 0, & tried external powered vcard & board powered. I never had a "OVER HEATING" issue w/ cpu, gpu or anything else. I tried to get help from ECS (the board maker), big waste of time!!!! The only video this seems to want to run is its own ONBOARD! It works fawlessly for what it is! I've been trying to solve the same issue for the 8 months I've had the board. I still look, thinking maybe i'll get lucky. I basically given up on ever using a good v-card w/ this board.
Could be the CPU is overheating, you may want to check and make sure all fans are working properly, as well as making sure you have a decent amount of thermal paste on your heatsink, i recommend antec silver.
