I can only get it to play the barbie songs that ti came with. i have copied onto my computer loads of music using Media Player and then copied onto the devise. It reads on the computer that all the songs are on there, but it won't play them. Any ideas?

I think you have to use the software it came with. However I am running into a problem. My sister bought one for my daughter and syncd it with her computer. Now when I try to sync it with my computer it says it is already in use.
That was one cheap MP3 player. Can't you buy a larger iPod? What will you do with just 512MB? I have 2GB for RAM on my laptop computer.
