Configuration page won't come up
I was given a NetGear WGR614 router by a friend. The friend got it for free from someone else. The original owner might have tried to do a firmware update to the router and it stopped working. That's possibly why it was given away free 2 times. Now I'm trying to set up the router myself.

I plugged in the power supply of the router and attached it to my laptop. I then plugged the ethernet cable from my laptop into all 4 of the LAN ports in the router. Each port LED lit up when plugged into. On the laptop I typed both:

http://www.routerlogin.net
-&-
http://192.168.1.1

I cannot get to the configuration page. I've tried the reset button on the back several times (holding it in for 30 seconds) and it still doesn't come up. I've tried the above procedures with the WAN port unattached to anything, and also with the WAN port connected to one of the LAN ports on the router that I want to extend to another room with the WGR614. Nothing works. I haven't tried the WAN port connected to my DSL modem's port but I doubt that will make a difference.

Since I am not the original warrantied owner NetGear's online help is unavailable to me. Any ideas on how to get the config page to come up?
