connect two 10mm cables together for an electric shower?
I changed my electric shower TRITON JADE with same one as I had but lasted just over 1 year I bought it brand new but from a private seller - so no warranty. I have now decided to change to TRITON ENRICH but problem is the 10mm cable from the wall behind the Tiles, is not long enough to reach the connectors of the new electric shower. Can I join and use a soldering iron and then tape the cables inside or outside the electric shower?

The unit is 8.5KW. Therefore, it has to be a 220/240V circuit and running about 40A. I would not splice the wires at that power level.
If the wire is accessible, you may be able to unattach it and pull out a few more mm, otherwise I would replace the whole line.
