Connecting Epson TM U220D printer with Laptop (having Windows XP)
Hi,
I am not able to connect Epson TM U220D printer with my Laptop (Compaq series with Win XP).
I bought a USB to parallel port convertor, but "Device not recognized" error does not go. The UBS port shows "Unknown Device" .
Please suggest.

If you have the Cables2GO USB to Parallel converter, it is a pain to get working. Go to Radio Shack and buy the GigaWire USB to Parallel.
Then once plugged in, go the printer that will be using the converter. Go to the printer properties, select the PORTS tab. Select the 'VIRTUAL PRINTER PORT FOR USB'. That worked for me!
Please verify if you properly install the port converter, its drivers.
