Constant beeping my 88 year old mother retrieved messages via handset and deleted them as usual. now the phone will not stop beeping and the message counter reads 5. when i try to receive them i just get a hang up sound. i tried removing batteries for a day or two but still the same. i searched the net for a reset solution but got nothing. so this is 1 last effort before i get her a new one. it is just that she likes this one and will be a pain if i dont get one she likes
Although most phones are similar in design, every phone is differant from manufacturer to manufacturer. Telling us what your make and model would be a huge step in delivering a spot on solution. But to not go away empty handed try erasing the rest of the messges. Pushing your menu button and scroll to your messaging options and there should be a clear all messages. Try that and if those don't work get us the specific make and model. I hope this helps. Anything for mom right?
I was not able to find any specs on your mothers particular brand of phone. Does she have the owners manual handy? Otherwise I can only suggest trying out the menu button and clean sweeping all of the messages. Try also listening to the messages and deleting one at a time. If the beepng continues try pishing the stop button. But without knowing your phone specifically I can only suggest. Thank you for your time and i hope i was able to assistI was not able to find any specs on your mothers particular brand of phone. Does she have the owners manual handy? Can you please give us the brand and model of thus unit so we can help you better about your concern..
Unplug the power cord and the phone cable for ten minutes, if it is more than one phone unplug all.
What is the make and model of the phone in question?
have you unplugged the whole unit or just the handheld part, try disconnecting everything for an hour and see if that resets the system
