Constant static and interference
I have the VTech 5.8 GHz Cordless phone and there is constant static when in use. I have to stand right by the base to be able to have a conversation. I've used a DSL line filter but noticed no difference. I have electrical appliances so I'm guessing there is interference there. Should I move the base to a remote bedroom where there are fewer electrical devices? Static

I have found that dimmer switches might be the cause your problem. If you have any around the house you may want to change them to a regular switch.
To test to see if this is the cause, turn all your dimmer switches completely off (not just turned down). See if it clears your static issue.
